Today we proceed to Thimphu- the capital of Bhutan. Upon arrival we visit BBS Clock Tower, and Tashichho Dzong. In the evening we have free time at the local market.
Today we explore Thimphu city, we visit Royal Takin Preserve - a wildlife reserve area for ‘Takin’ the national animal of Bhutan, Buddha Dordenma Statue, and the Standing Buddha Park. Further we visit National Library and Handicraft Center.
Today we proceed to Phobjikha Valley which is known for its migration of the black necked cranes and the beauty of its valley. Enroute we visit Dochula Pass and 108 memorial chortens also known as Druk Wangyal Chorten and Lamperi Botanical Garden. Upon arrival we visit Gangtey Monastery which is one of the oldest monasteries lying at an elevation of 3000m, Nature walk at Phobjikha Valley and Black-Necked Crane Information Center.
Today we proceed to Bumthang - also known as the ‘Switzerland of the country’. The beautiful Bumthang valley is characterized by the rolling green hills, pristine pine forests and clear blue skies. Enroute we stop at Yothonglha as well as Kekilka to enjoy the alpine pass and nature of Bhutan. Upon arrival, we have free time to relax and explore the surroundings.
Today we explore the city of Bumthang, we visit Kurjey Lhakhang monastery - the final resting place of the first three Kings of Bhutan, Jambay Lhakhang - one of the 108 temples built in one day by the renowned Tibetan King Songsten Gampo in 659 CE, Jakar Dzong - the largest Dzong in Bhutan, Tamshing Lhakhang - a temple containing a large number of ancient paintings of Buddha and Lhodrak Kharchhu Monastery – a Buddhist Nyingmapa Monastery of Jangter Tradition.
Today we proceed to the low lands of Punakha valley. Upon arrival, we visit the famous Punakha Dzong - the second oldest and second largest Dzong in Bhutan. We pass through a suspension bridge to arrive at the Dzong.
Today we enjoy a thrilling experience of white water rafting in the Punakha river. Later we proceed to Paro. En route visit Tamcho iron bridge near pa chu. In the evening we have some free time for shopping at local market.
Today we visit Taktshang Monastery- famously known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Clinging on a cliff at a height of 3120 meters above the sea level, this ancient monastery is a gem of Paro Valley. a trek of total 12km from Paro town. After returning from Tiger’s Nest, we proceed to the view point of Drukgyel Dzong - a Victory Fortress. In the evening we enjoy the Bhutanese cultural program.
Today we visit Chele-la-Pass - the highest motorable pass in the western regions of Bhutan located between picturesque Haa Valley and Paro Valley. Later we return back to Paro. Upon arrival at Paro, we visit, Paro Dzong- a large dzong - Buddhist monastery and fortress. Further we visit Ta-Dzong also known as National Museum.
Today we proceed to Siliguri via Paro. Here we visit Kharbandi Gompa - built by the Royal Grandmother as her winter residence. In the evening we arrive at Siliguri.
Today we proceed to Bagdogra.
